Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a holistic science running in Indian subcontinent from the time when civilization opened their doors. It is a part of the worlds most ancient text series. Yes, it is a part of Vedas. It deeply associated with the Hinduism and Indian culture.  It is serving the mankind from thousands of years back to till today. It is a system of treatment based on the philosophy and all around curing agents grows naturally. It is a system not only for the human, a part of it also deals with veterinary, fishery objectives. Ayurvedic  treatment considered as the treatment of mother nature.

All the factors that can effect the society are well described in Ayurveda. Ayurveda believes in different social customs and religious activities though these not practiced today. In short Ayurveda is a treatment that cures an individual with the herbs or herbo-mineral or mineral preparations. Using of naturally available ingredients causes less or you can say no side effects.

Ayurveda has almost all the branches that we can found today’s medical system, but in a board way. Community medicine was very well described by the acharyas even thousand years ago. Acharya Sushrut, is a great surgeon of Ayurveda, who also known as the father of surgery. His book Shusrut Samhita is as gem for the ayurvedic physicians till today. Another Acharya Charaka, who wrote his gem Charaka Samhita, which is consider as the best of all ayurvedic classics. It is mentionable that if we kept all medical texts available today in the locker than the formulation described in Charaka Samhita its self could treat all most all the diseases prevailing today. There are such many important text in our hand that are still very much acceptable.

Panchakarma is one of the most effective treatment procedure in Ayurveda. In south India, Panchakarma is very popular. The results of Panchakarma are very astonishing and effective. But all this branches and formulations are described, prescribed & practiced for many years by just keeping some aim in mind. And here it is
 ''स्वस्थस्य स्वास्थ्यरक्षणं अतुरस्य विकार प्रशमनाम्चा"
Means
The Aim Of Ayurveda Is
“To Cure Those Who Are Diseased And To Protect The Health Of Healthy Individuals By Promoting The Standards Of Health”

Till today WHO is also running  behind that aim (That is similar to that only the language is different)  to achieve a disease-free world and to promote the normal health of the world population. But till today we are not able to get that goal.

Unfortunately during Muslim era, Buddhist revolutions (mainly Ayurvedic Surgery) and British role the Ayurveda neglected and lost many of  its glory. Many of its text are either destroyed or collected and kept in hidden places by Muslim and British peoples. But till today  there are  several texts of Ayurveda written by  various Acharyas of India in different times are in our hand by different sources. All those are somehow helped this old system of Indian medicine to survive till today.
